The three basic elements to judge the offerings are :
Product features and quality
Services mix and quality
Price appropriateness
Product features and quality
Product features in a textile industry would mean the product range of the concerned company. The type of cloth provided by the company, its durability, technical effectiveness and special features like water repellent cloth or fire retardant cloth. Quality is discussed in detail under separate head.
Services mix and quality
Services in the sense of after sale services are not a part of the textile industry activities. But here, services would mean customer care, and relationship management which are discussed under separate heads and as far as its quality is concerned, being an export unit awarded for various jobs since 5 years is bound to be perfect at all its jobs.
Price Appropriateness
For any product to sell in the market, it is necessary that the price should be appropriate. In cases otherwise when companies keep high price turn out to be inappropriate and sales suffer.
At BSL, price is determined on cost plus bases, i.e. Mark-up pricing method is used. Here, price includes cost plus profit nearly 15%.
